In September 2012, ZDA was commissioned to become the overall designer of the redevelopment of the Vodafone headquarters in Budapest. Vodafone had decided to stay in its existing headquarters comprised of over 8000 m² during the extensive redesign process. Two essential criteria determined the concept of the project from its onset: Vodafone would reduce its overall office area by 30% and the headquarters would be occupied during the reconstruction. The latter criterion demanded that we carry out the work in phases. The interior, taking cues from
Vodafone’s distinctive brand image, is a creative and diverse workplace, which offers a number of flexible spaces and collaborative zones. The most significant change we created was the establishment of a new ground floor communal zone, which received a new connection with the first floor and became a popular area for collaboration and meetings for Vodafone workers.
