We designed the exhibitor pavilion of France, the guest of honor at the 29th Budapest International Book Festival, as the winner of the design competition. In close cooperation with the French Institute in Hungary and the involvement of the French Grand Tour, the idea was formulated that book culture reflects on individual personal journeys and reflects on a societal level. Thus, the pavilion's motto became Reflexion/Reflection. The spatial imprint of this in interior design is a large-scale mirrored stage wall, as well as the inscription "Reflexion" reflected in the millenary water. The defining element of the pavilion is the large chandelier evoking French castle culture, which rises above the stand, decorated with contemporary and classic French literary quotes. The stage was born from the apostrophe sign as a symbolic stand element. In the installation elements, we brought back the sophisticated character and characteristic colors of French design.
